The Palace of Culture of the city of Tlemcen is located in Imama. It took the name of “Abdulkarim Dali” (1914 - 1978) because he is a prominent figure in Algerian music and an experienced master of Houzi music.
The Palace of Culture of Tlemcen - Imama- is considered one of the cultural buildings, luxurious and ornate, and is considered A wonderful masterpiece of Arab and Islamic architecture, and it was completed near the archaeological monuments of the Mansoura Lighthouse and its walls. Its location adjacent to the Center for Andalusian Studies, or what is called the Alhambra Palace, made it take on the beautiful splendor of the city of “art and history,” as George Marsi used to call it, and it occupies a total area of 15,000 square meters. The Palace of Culture of Tlemcen was opened on April 11, 2011, corresponding to the 13th of Jumada al-Awwal. 1432 AH on the occasion of hosting the Tlemcen demonstration, the capital of Islamic culture. It is a public institution of an administrative nature, enjoying legal personality and financial independence under the supervision of the Minister in charge of Culture. Pursuant to Executive Decree No. 12-191 dated 3 Jumada al-Thani 1433 AH corresponding to April 25 2012 AD, it was established.
