About

Located below on the southern slope of the ksar. Founded in the 15th century. This monument is a funeral and fraction mosque adjoining the tomb of Sheikh Sidi Brahim. This mosque includes a semi-underground room. It is surmounted by a small room at half level in relation to the floor and ceiling of the whole. The large room at exterior ground level is opened by arcades on one side, and by a large claustra above the tomb of the sheikh sidi brahim. An entire wall is pierced with niches and half-moon openings. Irregularly located pillars support arches and battens which support the palm trunk beams. A terrace covers the whole, accessible by an exterior staircase and surrounded by a parapet wall which outlines the perimeter of the mosque. A prayer area extends the large room.
