About
The Annaba Theater was created during the colonial era at the end of the 19th century between (1890-1899). This is a municipal theater, which was destroyed by German aircraft during the Second World War (1942).
It was inaugurated in 1954, and after Independence (1963), this establishment was nationalized in application of Decree 12/63, thus becoming an asset of the Algerian State placed under the aegis of the Algerian National Theater (T.N.A).
It became a Regional Theater by virtue of decision 39/70 dated June 12, 1970 and subsequently benefited from autonomy in accordance with decree 71/73 of April 16, 1973.
In 2000, the Annaba Regional Theater was named in the name of the late AZZEDINE MEDJOUBI, in accordance with presidential decree number 70/2000 dated March 21, 2000.
